Magna Science Adventure Centre is to welcome the latest trend in baby and toddler groups when it hosts a Baby Rave event.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 7June, is aimed at children under five. It will be run by Baby Rave North, the brainchild of Yorkshire mum Faye Kenny, who runs Baby Rave events across the region.
Lisa Woolhouse, from Magna, said: “The Baby Rave puts a creative and modern spin on the traditional format of toddler groups. Not only will there be a great party atmosphere and the chance to show off your best moves, but it is also an opportunity to socialise and meet new people. It’s as much fun for the parents as it is for the children.”
Lisa said: “Events like this show that Magna is a unique and very adaptable venue. We can run a variety of events and welcome people of all ages and backgrounds. From days out for families to corporate events for business people, the facilities we have here are incredibly versatile.”
In April, Magna was the location for the ITV television programme ‘Dickenson’s Real Deal’, presented by David Dickenson. Later this month, on Friday 16 May, it will host the Yorkshire International Business Convention.
Magna is housed in a former steelworks in Sheffield Road, Templeborough, Rotherham, near the M1. It includes more than 100 hands-on exhibits designed to explore the four elements of air, water, earth and fire. Magna’s Sci-Tek outdoor play area features trampoline nets, spinning bowls, tilted roundabouts, twisted slides as well as rockets and castles. Its Aqua-Tek play area, open when weather allows, is one of the largest wet play areas in the country.
The Baby Rave will take place on Saturday 7 June 2014, from 10.30am – 11.45am or from 1.00pm- 2.15pm. Bookings are currently being taken for the event, which costs £5 per adult. To book a place, email email@example.com
