Barnsley businesses are invited to an event designed to inspire them to make use of marketing opportunities generated by Yorkshire’s Grand Départ of the Tour de France.
At the Marketing Network – A Tour de Force seminar, Vikki will discuss the impact the Grand Départ has had on Yorkshire, the lasting impression it will have on the region, and how businesses can make the most out of current and on-going marketing opportunities.
Vikki’s previous experience includes working for global agency Wunderman in their Oman office, where she rebranded the country’s national airline and launched it across Europe.
The free event, which takes place on November 27th at the Digital Media Centre, is funded by Enterprising Barnsley and is open to all Barnsley-based companies. The Enterprising Barnsley programme is delivered by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council to help Barnsley businesses develop and expand, creating new jobs.
The Tour de Force seminar is aimed at those with marketing responsibilities who want to learn more about the opportunities to promote their business during the Yorkshire’s Grand Départ next summer. It will pass through the west of the Barnsley borough on Sunday 6th July.
The event is organised by Tracey Johnson, Enterprising Barnsley’s sector specialist for creative and digital industries.

“Every business needs to consider how effective marketing in relation to the Grand Départ could secure future success and growth.
“This event is designed to help anyone responsible for marketing a business, whether an expert consultant or a relative novice, gain expert advice and industry insights. At this launch event it’s a chance for local businesses to see how they can use the Grand Départ, and the marketing opportunities surrounding it, to their benefit.”
Enterprising Barnsley is organising other free marketing events relating to the Grand Départ over the coming months, which attendees at the Tour de Force event will have exclusive access to pre-book.
The Tour de Force also marks the launch of Enterprising Barnsley’s quarterly Marketing Network seminars. These regular events will be hosted by local, regional and national marketing experts who will share their insights into the latest industry knowledge and trends.
Marketing Network – A Tour de Force is on Wednesday 27th November, from 12 noon to 2pm at The Digital Media Centre, County Way, Barnsley. The presentations will be followed by a networking lunch. Le tour.
