A Barnsley recruitment agency sprang into action at the weekend to raise money for its chosen charity, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
An enthusiastic team from Provide Education completed the Major Series 12k obstacle race at Bramham Park near Wetherby, raising nearly £800 for the charity.
Provide Education Director Barry Simmons said: “The team battled through mud, ice baths, streams and yet more mud. It was a really tough day for everyone taking part but they all came through in one piece, and still smiling.”
The award-winning Major Series has over 40 troops on hand to help participants through some of the more challenging sections of its races. Provide Education, which is based in Barugh Green, Barnsley, works with hundreds of teachers and other staff helping them to find supply posts in schools across the region.
Forget Me Not children’s hospice, in Huddersfield, supports children with life shortening conditions and their families.
