Boris is Biking for BIADS

Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support (BIADS) are being supported by 2 very different biking challenges.

Firstly Jordan Brown & Adam Garfitt cycled the 190 miles from Barnsley to Scarborough and back. They set off from Barnsley on 9th May 2014 and returned on 12th May 2014.  So far they have raised £560.

On 22nd May 2014 Bob Woodcock and Boris the Monkey will set off from Barnsley to Lands End, then Lands End to John O Groates and back to Barnsley.  Boris and Bob will travel on Bob’s motorbike and will call off at scenic spots en route.  Keep an eye on the BIADS Facebook page for updates of their progress.

Chief Officer Linda Pattison said “Without people giving their time and taking part in events such as these BIADS would not be able to continue providing support to people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and their families throughout the Barnsley Borough.  We are extremely grateful to Jordan, Adam, Bob and of course Boris”
