The Darton Arrow get a lot of emails from local community groups about their events which may be a one off or on a regular weekly basis.

July has been all about Colour. We spent a week looking at Light and Shade, a week on tonal painting (using one colour to create a range of tones), a full study of colour in week three (layering colour) and week four was on how to use contrasting colour – exhausting but fun! We had a trip out to Graves Gallery in Sheffield for the last session, to see how its done.
We have a range of back drops to emphasize tonal qualities and evoke different environments. We’re building up our prop basket and the models join in too, really getting into the spirit.
We’ll be focusing on Balance and Anatomy during August, looking at the work of sculptors and how important it is to get balance right.
