Helping Young People Compete for Jobs

A free course designed to help young people in Barnsley in finding jobs will be launched later this month.

The Traineeship programme is aimed at young people, aged 16 – 18, without a Level 2 qualification and is intended to improve their chances of finding work.

Candidates will receive training in how to apply for jobs, how to write an effective CV and how to give a successful interview as well as a qualification in English and maths and a work experience placement. It’s hoped that by combining formal training with on the job practical experience, young people will be better placed to compete in today’s competitive job market.

The course is being run by Barnsley College’s Business and Management Team and will begin Monday 27 January 2014. If you would like to register on the course please contact the College on 01226 216 123 or email info@barnsley.ac.uk
