More Bands Announced For LIVE In Barnsley Event

LIVE in Barnsley, the town’s first metropolitan free music festival sponsored by Fenton and Fenton Roofing Specialists, is now in to its third year and is set to take place again this summer on Saturday 20th June.  This year there are 14 venues and over 120 bands taking part.

This week the organisers announced another batch of bands for this years festival;

Bi:Lingual from West Yorkshire, who describe themselves as rock n roll hip hop and are Dylan Cartlidge, George Louca, Aaron Lythe and Stephanos Louca.  Playing live regularly across the North of England they are also scheduled to play this years Stockton Calling Festival and Long Division.  Their 6 Track EP ‘Doppelgänger’ is now available to buy on Bandcamp.

Those Delta Wolves are Aaron, Ben, Jonny, Mark.  They told us they formed in 2013 under a full moon, forging tracks from blood, sweat and the tears of unicorns. Which is nice.  Influenced musically by blues, rock n’ roll, punk and grunge, the band have create a raw, electric, guitar driven sound. Singer/guitarist Jonny Von Grun told us he likes “loud noises, milk and If you meet him he advises you don’t make any sudden moves as he will chase you and he used to run 100m in about 11secs…”  The ‘Fire Is Spreading’ EP was recently unleashed on the world, check it out.

Debonair a new London based trio of 2 singers and 1 rapper, mixing Urban, Commercial and House music. They told us,”Unlike other Urban acts we incorporate dance, smooth vocals, rap and a Live band which give us an edge to other acts. Our last show was in December at the 02 academy Islington.  With new releases already undergoing recording and a lot of plays on the BBC introducing and BBC 1xtra we’re really hoping 2015 is going to be our year”.
