University Campus Barnsley is offering a Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts Production for students who are interested in a career in the exciting live events and media industries.
The Performing Arts Production course will be delivered at UCB’s Electric Theatre where students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities. Developing their creative and practical skills in lighting, sound rigging and stage management, students will have the opportunity to organise a range of music and theatrical productions in the local community as well as at the Electric Theatre.
Lecturer Thomas Flanagan said: “Students will get first-hand experience of working on live productions. Together with their theory work the course will allow students to develop their skills to build a career in a number of professions within the live events industry such as a Sound Engineer, Lighting Designer, Stage Manager and Production Manager.”
