Parents and carers of Year 11 school children will have the opportunity to find out more about the career pathways available at Barnsley College at a Parent Information Evening on Thursday 25 September, 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
Choosing the right career pathway at the age of 16 can be a daunting task and the aim of the event is to equip parents with information on what is available at College so that they can support their child in making this important decision.
Barnsley College offers career pathways in over 300 subjects and parents will have the opportunity to chat to tutors and visit a range of talks on vocational pathways, A Levels and Apprenticeships.
Colin Booth, Principal at Barnsley College, said: “We understand the important role that parents and carers play in the decision making process when their child is thinking about what to do after they leave school. This event is a great opportunity for parents to come along and find out more about what is available at Barnsley College so that they can help their child make an informed decision on what to do next.”
The event is aimed specifically at parents or carers of Year 11 school children. There will be a further opportunity for potential students to visit the College with their parents at our forthcoming Open Evenings on 15 October and 26 November.
