Yorkshire based PR and media training agency – Capital B Media – is moving to larger premises as it expands.
The agency, which is based near Penistone, has gained seven new clients since the start of the year and is taking on new members of staff.
The company, which has also seen its turnover increase by about 30 per cent in the last year, is moving to a bigger neighbouring office at Bullhouse Mill at Easter.
Capital B Media director, Kate Betts, said: “We have won several new accounts recently, taken on a new account director and are about to take on an admin executive, so we definitely need more space.”
Capital B Media has been based at The Old Corn Mill at Bullhouse Mill for three years and has a number of high profile PR clients, including Enterprising Barnsley, financial planning company Future Life Wealth Management, Kate Rusby’s Underneath the Stars festival and Magna Science Adventure Centre. Media training clients include South Yorkshire Fire, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, the Pensions Regulator and the Care Quality Commission.
The company employs five and works with an extensive team of associates who each have expertise in writing, filming, photography or media training.
Capital B’s existing offices will be taken over by John Smith of Creativesmith design and advertising agency, and Andrew Painten of Fluent Films, which produces high quality corporate video.
“There will be some great opportunities to collaborate with John and Andrew,” said Kate. “It will be good to have their expertise close to hand.”
Capital B Media and Creativesmith are already working together on the magazine for national charity Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK.
The Old Corn Mill is a ‘carbon negative’ building, creating more electricity than it uses. Its energy is provided by a combination of wind turbines, solar PV panels, ground-source heating and a hydro water turbine on the nearby River Don.
“It’s a great space to work in and we didn’t want to move. So we jumped at the chance of a bigger office in the same building,” said Kate.
“We have the added benefit of being based in a beautiful rural location, but close to the motorway network so that we can easily reach our clients.”
